How it works

Four steps, one trip

  1. 1

    You write to us

Passport country, where you live, what the account is for and where the money comes from. A first written answer is free.

  2. 2

    We choose the bank

Within 48 hours: an honest opinion and a written quote. If it doesn't make sense, we say so.

  3. 3

    We build the file

Statements, reference letter, source of funds, purpose, translations. Checked before you fly.

  4. 4

    One trip, one meeting

We book the branch and go with you, then follow up until the bank decides.

Documents you'll need

What the bank will ask for

The usual list. We tell you exactly what applies to you and check every page before you fly.

Personal account

  • Passport with UAE entry stamp or visa
  • Proof of address, under 3 months
  • 6 months of bank statements
  • Reference letter from your bank
  • Proof of source of funds
  • Short note on the account's purpose

Business account

  • Trade licence, MoA, share certificate
  • Passports of owners and directors
  • Company profile: activity, clients, revenue
  • Proof of office (flexi-desk is fine)
  • Source of funds of the owners
  • A real link to the UAE

Who this is for

  • Entrepreneurs and freelancers who earn internationally and want a stable account in a neutral, well-connected banking system.
  • Owners of a UAE free zone or mainland company who need the business account opened without months of back and forth.
  • Families and investors who want part of their savings in a second jurisdiction, with clear source of funds.

Who this is not for

  • Anyone who wants to hide income from their tax authority.
  • Persons or businesses under sanctions.
  • Crypto-only or gambling businesses. Banks rarely accept them and we won't pretend otherwise.
Straight about the bank

No "remote accounts in 24 hours"

UAE banks are open to non-residents, but careful. Most of them want to meet you once at the branch, ask for six months of statements and want to understand your money. Minimum balances are not published as one fixed number and depend on the bank and the package.

So we prepare the file a compliance officer can say yes to, and we apply to one bank at a time.

Good to know

  • Personal: usually 3 to 5 business days after the branch visit.
  • Business: usually 3 to 6 weeks from a complete file.
  • ADCB business packages start at around AED 10,000 minimum balance.
  • Payment to us by bank transfer only, against an invoice.
FAQ

Questions people ask first

Can a non-resident open a personal bank account in the UAE?

Yes, at a limited number of large banks, ADCB among them. You need to come to the UAE once, because almost every bank wants to see you at the branch. The bank decides, and it asks a lot about where your money comes from.

Do I have to travel to the UAE?

For a personal non-resident account, in practice yes, once. Plan five to seven working days. We prepare the file before you fly, so the trip is about signing, not about collecting papers.

How long does it take?

For a personal account the bank usually answers within three to five business days after the branch visit. For a business account, count on three to six weeks from a complete file.

What is the minimum balance?

Banks don't publish one fixed number for non-residents. Expect something between AED 25,000 and AED 100,000 for a standard personal account, more for priority banking. ADCB business packages start at around AED 10,000. We confirm the current figure for your case before you apply.
